This course covers many theoretical and practical aspects of engine room procedures and is suitable for shipboard senior engineers. This programme is developed to improve the watch keeping ability of Marine Engineers who are aspiring to excel in their profession at the Management level. All participants are exposed to the latest sophisticated equipment and technology. The course is conducted by a senior marine engineer.

Theory lectures on operational procedures are followed up by practical exercises on the simulator and candidates are able to monitor the changes in various parameters, something which is practically impossible to do on board the ship.
Upon successful completion of assessments, the student will have confidence in undertaking proper Safe Engine Room Operations and Watch-keeping procedures, develop a greater understanding and awareness of correct watch keeping procedures, have an understanding of interdependency of various machinery and obtain experience in identifying operational problems and trouble shooting them
Participants must have a COC (STCW 2010, Sections A-III/1 & A-III/2), seaman’s book, valid medical certificate and valid photo ID
